Great location, disappointing experience 😩

From the outside, Bresca looks very promising. Its modern facade and prime location in the heart of Alcalá de Henares invite you to enter with high expectations. However, the experience inside the restaurant falls far short of what it seems.

Atmosphere: a want but can't
The place tries to be romantic and modern, but it falls flat. Some tables are too close together, which reduces the sense of intimacy. The decor is a nonsensical collage: one wall covered in garish urban graffiti, another with neon lights that clash with the idea of a cozy Italian restaurant, and others that are elegant and beautiful. The music doesn't help either, ruining any attempt at creating ambiance.

Food: soulless and unsurprising
The menu is unremarkable, and the dishes, while not bad, are nothing special. In our case, the lasagna we ordered arrived reheated; the plates were large, but the portions were small. In short, the cuisine doesn't justify the price or the promise of authentic Italian cuisine.

Service: total neglect
The service was one of the weakest points. The tables were clearly neglected. After asking for the bill and waiting quite a while, we had to get up and go to the bar to pay. This left a bad taste in our mouths and reflected a lack of customer service.

Conclusion: a penalty with potential
The only thing worth highlighting is the telephone booking system, which is very convenient.

Bresca had everything it took to be a benchmark: a good location, striking exterior design, and an Italian concept that could have been outstanding. But the execution falls short in every key aspect. An experience that NO We recommend it, especially considering the gastronomic offer that Alcalá de Henares has to offer.
