Ambigú Restaurant:
Despite its reputation, our experience did not live up to expectations.
The restaurant, located next to the Teatro Salón Cervantes, has a small space and tables very close together, which can feel a bit cramped. However, we were seated by the window, a cozy corner, though not very private.
As for the food, the portions seemed small and unimpressive for the price. Furthermore, we found the cost of a glass of wine high, especially considering it wasn't a premium brand.
It's worth noting that the staff's service was excellent, but not enough to justify the price. We were also surprised by the extra charge for bread served without having ordered it, a detail that didn't improve the experience.
In short, we tried the place because of its fame, but it's not a place we intend to return to.
C. de Cervantes, s/n, 28801 Alcalá de Henares, Madrid
Incoming: Artichokes. Nothing against them, they were very tasty and well cooked.
Main dishes:
Diced sirloin steak: Despite its tenderness, the meat wasn't particularly juicy. Furthermore, the portion was quite small.
Iberian feather: A decent dish, though nothing special. Again, the portion was quite small.
Overall, a gastronomic experience with well-executed dishes, but with portions that were too small and no great surprises in the flavors.
WARNING! And no dessert!:
