History of Marrakech in a few lines:<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>

Origins:<\/strong><\/h3>

Founded as Villa Cisneros by the Spanish in the 19th century, the area had already been inhabited by Berber tribes and used as a strategic point on Saharan trade routes.<\/p>

Middle Ages:<\/strong><\/h3>

Before European colonization, the region was part of nomadic territories linked to the caravan routes between the Maghreb and sub-Saharan Africa.<\/p>

20th Century:<\/strong><\/h3>

Under Spanish rule until 1975, Dakhla developed as a fishing port and military base, maintaining an economy linked to the sea.<\/p>

Overall summary: affordable trip, always good weather, worth it.<\/p>

If you go to the Medina with a guide, don't trust buying where he tells you to because the first year we trusted him and bought a lot of skin products, etc. (it was like a kind of pharmacy where they tell you everything is natural, etc., etc., and they ripped us off big time). I don't remember the place, but as soon as I find it on a receipt, I'll add it.<\/p>

\u00a0The second year we went on our own and came across this store where the man knew a lot and recommended things based on need without trying to sell recklessly.<\/p>

We bought many things much cheaper and with better results.<\/p>

\"Excursiones<\/p>

1st Hotel <\/em><\/strong>Aqua Fun Marrakech:<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/a> We were able to go down all the slides, although they weren't all open at the same time; some would close and others would already be open (there weren't enough guests to make it necessary, they opened them by the hour so you didn't get tired or wait in lines).<\/em><\/p>

The staff were very friendly, and contrary to what one might think, the treatment of women was exactly the same as for men. <\/em>man.<\/p>

\u00a0All the areas were always super clean, there were tennis courts, volleyball, soccer, it had everything and on top of that it was maintained almost daily in parts so that we could enjoy them.<\/em><\/p>

\u00a0The sun loungers in the pool areas were in perfect condition, but they still put in new ones.<\/em><\/p>

The restaurant was very well laid out and organized, with a wide variety of dishes. They would prepare your meat or fish to your liking, and it was high quality. The only downside was that Christmas Eve dinner was extra, costing around \u20ac40 per person, and included entertainment.<\/em><\/p>

\u00a0The hotel is highly recommended and safe overall; there were staff everywhere. The rooms are also very large, clean, comfortable, and bright. The entertainment was good.<\/em><\/p>

\"Habitaci\u00f3n<\/p>

2nd Hotel <\/em><\/strong>Aqua Fun Marrakech:<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>The rooms were also large and comfortable. It also had very well-maintained and spacious recreational areas; the only downside was that the water park wasn't open. Christmas Eve was included at no extra cost and featured a super fun special show. The entertainment team is incredibly dedicated and there are so many of them. Suitable for all ages.<\/em><\/p>

\"Habitaci\u00f3n<\/p>

It is attached next to another hotel called Club Marmara Madina<\/u><\/strong><\/a>, <\/strong>You can use all the facilities since they are the same (except for the restaurants). It has an indoor pool, although it wasn't very warm the day we went.<\/p>

That hotel was nice, but we found it much less lively.<\/p>

And of course, any time is a good time to act like an idiot \ud83d\ude02:<\/p>
