History of the Grand Canyon in a few lines:

Origins:

It began to form millions of years ago through the erosive action of the Colorado River, which carved away the land layer by layer. Long before the arrival of Europeans, the area was inhabited by indigenous peoples such as the Anasazi and, later, the Hopi and Havasupai, who considered it a sacred place.

Middle Ages:

It remained completely unknown to Europe while indigenous communities continued to live in its surroundings, developing ways of life adapted to an arid environment and maintaining traditions closely linked to the landscape.

19th Century:

It began to be explored and mapped by American expeditions. The expedition of John Wesley Powell in 1869 stands out, as he made the first documented descent of the Colorado River, promoting its scientific study and public dissemination.

Present:

It is one of the most visited national parks in the United States and a World Heritage Site. It is protected for its geological, scenic, and cultural value, and is a natural icon of global significance.

General conclusions ✦✦
It's a visit that must be made, different but it's true that we have something very similar in Spain, although not as extensive.
It has spectacular free views, but beware of paying extra for the Skywalk, it's a disappointment and there are much better free viewpoints in other locations; you'll save more than €90 per person.
The Indian village isn't worth staying overnight, but it's fine for a quick visit. There's a feeding station with birds that steal food. You absolutely must bring water, a hat, and sunscreen because the heat is intense and there's no shade.
The drive from Las Vegas is well worth it, but be sure to check the route carefully because there are two access points and one is considerably longer.

The Grand Canyon goes very well with Los Angeles as part of a road trip that links the west coast and inland landscapes, fitting especially well into long routes through the southwestern United States.
