Bristol's history in a few lines:

Origins:

Bristol emerged as a small Anglo-Saxon port in the 11th century, taking advantage of its strategic location on the River Avon. Its name comes from "Brycgstow," meaning "place of the bridge.".

Middle Ages:

During the Middle Ages, it became one of the most important ports in England, standing out in maritime trade with Ireland and the European continent.

19th Century:

In the 19th century, Bristol was a key center of the Industrial Revolution, with significant development in shipbuilding and the tobacco industry. It was also a major hub for transatlantic trade.

Present:

Today, Bristol is a modern and vibrant city, known for its technological innovation, its arts scene, and its commitment to sustainability. It is a cultural hub in southwest England.

General conclusions ✦✦

A young, vibrant city with lots of fast-food restaurants and long opening hours. We really enjoyed it, and spending New Year's Eve here was a lot of fun and free. By the way, it was freezing cold, but the girls would rather freeze than show off their figures.

Bristol goes very well with London because of its good train connections and because it allows you to combine capital, a creative environment and a city with its own character in the same trip.

Prices ✨💰

A combined trip to all 3 countries. It cost us €1,034 for the two of us, including 3 hotels, 3 destinations, and 3 flights, and given the dates, it was a very good price.
